UNIQUELY CUSTOMIZABLE
Each rug is truly a work of art. Seamlessly stitched in any size, designers may customize the design, color and proportions to their specifications.
These needlepoint rugs are 'gros point', meaning a larger stitch is used, as opposed to most thin needlepointing.
Made of the highest quality 100% virgin wool, Vermilion Rugs boast a comforting feel and remarkable durability.

The test result is an average critical radiant flux (watts/square cm) which indicates the level of radiant heat energy required to sustain flame propagation in the flooring system once it has been ignited. A minimum of three test specimens are tested and the results are averaged. Theoretically, if a room fire does not impose a radiant flux that exceeds this critical level on a corridor floor covering system, flame spread will not occur. The NFPA Life Safety Code 101 specifies as Class 1 Critical Radiant Flux of .45 watts/sq cm or higher and Class 2 Critical Radiant Flux as .22 – .44 watts/sq cm.
Vermilion Rugs scored over 100% higher than the minimum Class I rating. Our products had an average Radiant Flux of 0.91 Watts/Square cm.
Hospitality projects require use of Class I products. Vermilion Rugs exceeds that rating, meaning you can specify our rugs and runners confidently for your next hospitality project.

In the American Society for Testing and Materials (ASTM) D119 test for creating surface appearance changes in Stair Tread and Noses from Foot Traffic, our rugs were given a 4.5 out of 5.0 Grade after 20,000 passes.
This roughly simulates what the carpet would look like if a family of 4 used the stairs 4 times a day, every day for 5 years.
